Watching his mother dance on the hit television dance show entitled Soul Train; Tony grew up loving the art of dancing! Throughout his high school years, Tony became serious about dance and enrolled in the Orange County School of Performing Arts evening dance program. He also joined the Santiago High School cheerleading team where he cheered for 3 1/2 years on their Varsity Squad. Trained in ballet, jazz, and hip hop, Tony developed into a strong dancer with personality and a unique style. After a short time perusing commercials and professional work, Tony found that teaching dance to others was his calling. In the summer of 1992, Tony began coaching his first cheerleading and pom team in Orange County. Living in New York, Hong Kong, and Washington D.C., Tony trained with the best in the industry at The Broadway Dance Center in NYC, Escola De Samba in Rio de Janeiro, Ruth Page Foundation of Dance in Chicago, Westminster School of performing Arts in London, and the HK Dance Place of Hong Kong. In the years between 2000 and 2003, Tony became the choreographer for the up and coming R&B Group called Soul-Jah. From 1998 to present, Tony has coached cheerleading and pom teams that have gone on to take over 20 National and 30 State titles. Tony edits music and choreographs for hip-hop/rap videos and for some of the top cheer teams in the country. Now as the co-owner and head dance choreographer for Platinum All-Stars, Tony continues to help our youth realize their full potential through cheerleading and dance!
