5/18/09 -- Gym Closed for Memorial Day |
 The Platinum gym will be closed Saturday, May 23rd through Monday, May 25th due to Memorial Day. There will be no Gems, Jade or Silver practice this Saturday. There will be no Sapphires or Pearl practice next Monday. Team practices and tumbling classes will resume as normal on Tuesday, May 26th.

5/12/09 -- Choreography Camp Set for Gems, Sapphires, Jade, Silver, Pearl |
 Choreography dates for Jade and Sapphires have been set! Choreography will take place from Friday, June 26th through Sunday, June 28th. One of the top choreographers from Top Gun All-Stars in Miami, FL will be doing Sapphires and Jade’s routines! Choreography dates for Gems are set for June 20th and 21st. As a reminder, choreography for Silver and Pearl will be from Friday, July 17th through Sunday, July 19th. Titanium choreography dates will be announced very soon!

5/12/09 -- Team Moms |
 We are looking for two moms per team to take on the role of “team mom.” Duties of the team moms include helping organize team events and outings, help provide meals for choreography camp and assist the coaches with whatever else they need. | 4/20/09 -- Platinum Brings It to the Beach!!! |
 All of Platinum's teams had a fun and successful final competition at the Oceanside Pier. It was sunny, breezy and a perfect day to compete on the beach! Thanks to everyone for coming out to support our teams at the beach!

| 4/13/09 -- Platinum's Diamonds Grab Runner-Up Title at All-Levels |
 Platinum’s Team Dallas Diamonds
competed at All-Levels last Friday night and claimed the runner-up title. They looked fantastic. All first, second and third place teams will be showcased online at all- levels.com on May 7th for everyone to watch! All teams will be re-scored to determine the grand champions across all
of the five All-Levels events.

| 4/13/09 -- PAS Teaming with Great American Fundraising for New Season! |
 Platinum is very excited to be partnering with Great American Fundraising for the 2009-2010 Platinum season. Our GA representative will be organizing ALL of our fundraisers. We will have one fundraiser a month for each month of the new season, with the exception of August and April. That's 10 GREAT fundraisers! As always, every fundraiser is optional. We make them available to help offset the costs of all-star cheerleading. Here are some of the great fundraisers we have in store:

And much more! The even better news is that all of the GA fundraisers offer between 40% and 50% profit for what you sell. We are confident that for those athletes who want to fundraise, they can easily pay for the large majority of their Platinum costs with these fundraisers.

| 3/23/09 -- Platinum Rubies Win Big at Best of the West Invitational! |
 The Platinum Rubies blew away the competition Sunday at the Best of the
West Invitational, beating out seven
other teams to claim the top spot! These nine awesome girls and one amazing
boy have worked extremely hard this season and beat teams twice their size
this weekend. Congrats! The Emeralds and Gold Teams both had strong showings and are looking forward to even better performances in Ontario this weekend. |

| 3/23/09 -- Platinum Big Sis/ Little Sis and Big Bro/ Little Bro |
 We will be doing a Platinum Big Buddy/ Little Buddy Activity this Saturday at the competition. We have paired up all athletes from our Gems, Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds, Jade and Gold teams with another athlete from a different team. We will give each cheerleader a paper with the name and team of their Platinum Buddy at practice this week. We’d like for each person to bring a card, note or small gift (no more than $5) as a good luck present for your Platinum Buddy. This is a great chance for the athletes to get to know another member on a different team. Even better – try to be there to cheer on your Platinum Buddy when they compete!!! |

 The Gems, Rubies, Sapphires, Jade and Gold Teams will compete this Saturday and Sunday in Ontario at
the Xtreme Spirit Championships. Don’t forget, the team party is scheduled for Saturday night at 6 p.m.! |

| 3/2/09 -- Team Dallas Places Third at NCA Nationals! |
Team Dallas made Platinum very proud this past weekend at NCA Nationals in Dallas. They performed two nearly flawless performances and took home third place. The competed alongside the top gyms in the country (and have many, many pictures to prove it). As coaches, we couldn’t have asked for a better first experience taking a team to NCA Nationals, and we know the trip was one our athletes will never, ever forget. Thank you to all of the parents who traveled with us to Dallas, as well as those of you sent good luck wishes via phone call, text and e-mail over the past week. |

| 3/2/09 -- 2009-2010 Tryout Dates Set for May 2nd |
 The 2009-2010 Platinum tryout dates have been set! Tryouts will be Saturday, May 2nd, with clinics running Monday through Thursday of that week. We understand the downturn in the economy is causing a strain on MANY of our Platinum families. Due to this, we will be doing everything we can to make Platinum as affordable as possible next season. We will be keeping the same uniform, warm-ups and shoes for another season. We will also have discounts for those of you who pay via credit card monthly. (A full list of the cost savers will be available in the tryout packet.)

| 2/27/09 -- Platinum Emeralds, Gold Teams Place 2nd at Jamz Nationals |
All of Platinum’s seven teams put on a GREAT show in Vegas. The Tiny Gems, who were without a doubt the cutest Tiny team at the competition, took home third place and received bronze medals! The Rubies performed two AMAZING performances and brought home fifth place in a very tough division. The Sapphires and Jade Teams, in two of the toughest divisions in the competition, both put on great performances and made Platinum proud. The Emeralds and Gold Teams were both named runners-up in their respective divisions and were given bids to All-Level Worlds. Titanium brought the house down and made everyone VERY proud to be a Platinum cheerleader! |

| 4/21/08 -- Platinum Scores 2 National Championships, Sportsmanship Award!!!! |
Platinum’s Junior and Senior A teams both blew away their competition this weekend at the American Championships, and were named National Champions! The Senior B team was presented with the highest award American Championships gives out: The Sportsmanship Award! This award means we will be featured in American Cheerleader Magazine and money will be sent in Platinum’s name to a cancer fund. (Not to mention we got a banner and a trophy taller than all of us!)
And we can't forget our littlest competitors! The Youth team performed two completely flawless routines and took home a huge 4th place trophy. The Mini team took home a very respectable 6th place in their tough division, and looked amazing on the floor. |
