Team Practices Begin on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Please note that all practices will take place at the West Coast All Stars Elite Cheer Gym in Walnut, CA. Practice times may change once we have moved into our new facility. Please bring your May payment to your first practice. This payment will be at half your monthly tuition rate minus your $25 tryout fee. See team practice times and rates below:

OPEN ALL-GIRL 6 AND TEAM DALLAS WILL START PRACTICE IN SEPTEMBER.

  What a weekend! In what were  easily
  their two best performances of the season,
  the 28 ladies of Pearl looked AMAZING
  this past weekend at COA Nationals. They   took home third place, but earned the
  praise of everyone at the competition   (including their competitors). Titanium
  hit two flawless routines, and earned one
  of the top scores of the weekend! They
  took home first place and COA National
  Champion jackets. Thanks to everyone who   came out to support us in Irvine!           

Sapphires and Pearl practice will be canceled on Wednesday, March 31st. We will be having team picture day instead! Pictures will be taken at the Platinum gym. Please come wearing your complete uniform, including shoes. You do not need to wear your bow or your Platinum makeup. Instead, wear your hear and makeup however you like. We will hand out order forms next week at your team practices. Pictures will take place at the following times:
     
Gems 5:45 p.m.
Sapphires 6:00 p.m.
Silver 6:15 p.m.
Pearl 6:30 p.m.
Titanium 6:45 p.m.      
All Gym Picture 7:00 p.m.

We will not be able to wait to take the pictures, so please make sure you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your team’s photo time. We don’t want anyone to miss it! Make sure you are back at the gym by 6:50 p.m. for the gym-wide Platinum picture. We expect the gym picture to take approximately 30 minutes.

 BLING BLING! We are headed to Vegas –
 which means we need some bling bling clothes!  Check out the Platinum bedazzled clothes in
 the gym lobby for sale. Order forms are available
 at the front desk. All orders must be submitted by  Thursday, March 25th to guarantee delivery by Us  Finals in Vegas.

Gems and Sapphires will be competing at Knott’s Berry Farm on Sunday, March 28th. We will be sending out a separate e-mail to those two teams with information on spectator tickets for the event. The competition is located at the Charles M. Schulz Theater inside Knott’s Berry Farm. After we compete, we invite you to come spend the day with your coaches and teammates at the theme park.

The American Cheer Academy will be having a backhandspring clinic on Sunday, March 28th from 9-12 p.m. Backhandspring clinics are NOT just for people who do not yet have their handspring. At the clinic, we break everyone up by age and level. Athletes are then able to really focus on their specific skills with others who are at the same level. Sign-up sheets are available at the front desk at the gym. The cost is $25 if you pre-register or $30 the day of the clinic. Gems and Sapphires – do not register! You have a competition that day!!!

Sign-ups/ team placements for the 2010-2011 cheerleading season will take place the week of May 10th. More details will be provided later this month.

This group of boys and girls truly made a name for themselves out here and we could not be prouder of each and every one of them. Thank you to all of the parents and athletes back home who texted, left voicemails and sent e-mails wishing luck and asking how the team was doing!

  Great job to all Platinum teams at Spirit Sports   Nationals in Palm Springs! The Tiny Gems
  and the Diamonds both scored runners up
  honors. All other Platinum teams put on a great   show and made us very proud.

 There will be no Platinum practice this week or
 next week due to the holidays. If you are
 interested in tumbling, let us know! We have
 several coaches who have offered to be at the gym  every day this week if there are athletes who
 want to tumble!

We have gotten quite a few e-mails and texts asking about last minute Christmas gifts. We ordered extra Platinum “Bling” jackets for this reason! Platinum’s Sapphires, Silver, Pearl and Titanium teams put on a GREAT show at Saturday’s USA Southern California Classic. Sapphires went first, nailed their routine and scored a very respectable third place finish in a big division. The ladies of Pearl went on next and won big, beating out Stealth and West Coast for first place! They also received a 1st place bid to All-Levels. Titanium also performed flawlessly, bringing home a first place trophy! Silver made their season debut, hitting their entire routine! They placed second, bringing home a trophy and a 2nd place bid to All-Levels. Best yet – ALL teams qualified for USA Nationals! Thanks to all of the family and friends who came out to support all of our teams at USA Regionals. 

Platinum will be closed this week for Thanksgiving. There will be no Gems, Sapphires, Pearl or Titanium practice. There will also be no tumbling classes. Diamonds and Silver WILL be practicing (see bullets below). We hope you and your families have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. We are thankful for each and every one of our athletes and for the opportunity to influence their lives through cheerleading!

 Platinum’s Team Dallas Diamonds
 competed at All-Levels last Friday night and  claimed the runner-up title. They looked  fantastic. All first, second and third place  teams will be showcased online at  all- levels.com on May 7th for everyone to  watch! All teams will be re-scored to  determine the grand champions across all
 of the five All-Levels events.

Platinum is very excited to be partnering with Great American Fundraising for the 2009-2010 Platinum season. Our GA representative will be organizing ALL of our fundraisers. We will have one fundraiser a month for each month of the new season, with the exception of August and April. That's 10 GREAT fundraisers! As always, every fundraiser is optional. We make them available to help offset the costs of all-star cheerleading. Here are some of the great fundraisers we have in store:
