The Gems Team did a fantastic job at choreography camp this past weekend! They learned about 2/3 of their routine, which is AMAZING for such young athletes. Be sure to CLICK HERE to see pictures from the weekend. (Could they be any cuter?)

The Platinum coaches journeyed to Phoenix, AZ this weekend for our annual coaches’ retreat. It was a great weekend, and we came up with SO many great ideas. We can’t wait for what will most definitely be an unbelievable season.

Our next Platinum fundraiser is selling cookie dough. All athletes will receive their packet at practice this week. As a reminder, all fundraisers are optional and are meant to offset the costs of all-star cheerleading.

Platinum is very excited to announce our first ever Parent Team this year! More details will be released soon… but moms and dads: get ready!!!!!

Choreography dates for all teams have been set! See below for the dates and AMAZING choreographers:

Gems – Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st (Platinum All-Stars)

Sapphires and Jade – Friday, June 26th through Sunday, June 28th (Top Gun All-Stars)

Silver and Pearl -- Friday, July 17th through Sunday, July 19th (Stingray All-Stars)

Titanium – Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th (Maryland Twisters)

 The first order of Nfinity shoes are scheduled to arrive
 this Friday. As soon as they arrive we will pass them out.  We are going to place a second order mid-next week.
 We Will also be sending back the sizing kit next week.
 So if you have not yet been sized for shoes, but think
 you may want to place an order for Nfinitys later in the  season, please get  fitted at your next practice.

Uniform fittings for all new Platinum members (and returning Platinum members who wish to purchase a new uniform) are set for Wednesday, June 17th at 5:30 p.m. All athletes who need to be sized for a uniform will need to be there at that time. If you are unable to make it to the gym then, please let us know as soon as possible and we will make other arrangements for you to get fitted.

Practice clothes have been ordered for everyone who has paid. All of the clothes will arrive late this week. At practice next week, athletes will have the opportunity to try on the clothes before they get screen printed. Each athlete will fill out a card with their name and the sizes that fit them so that we can easily distribute the clothes after they are done at the screen printers, which will take about a week.

The Platinum gym will be closed Saturday, May 23rd through Monday, May 25th due to Memorial Day. There will be no Gems, Jade or Silver practice this Saturday. There will be no Sapphires or Pearl practice next Monday. Team practices and tumbling classes will resume as normal on Tuesday, May 26th.

  We are looking for two moms per team to take on   the role of “team mom.” Duties of the team moms   include helping organize team events and outings,   help provide meals for choreography camp and   assist the coaches with whatever else they need. The brand new Platinum tumbling schedule is out. Please make sure to grab a schedule the next time you are at the gym, as some of the times have changed. Remember, tumbling is free all summer long for Platinum members!

Platinum had our biggest turnout ever for tryouts this weekend! It’s going to be a GREAT season! If you missed last week’s evaluations, don’t worry! There is still time to join a Platinum team. Just call the gym or e-mail platinumstaff@platinumcheer.com to arrange for a tryout time today!

All of Platinum's teams had a fun and successful final competition at the Oceanside Pier. It was sunny, breezy and a perfect day to compete on the beach! Thanks to everyone for coming out to support our teams at the beach!

 Platinum’s Team Dallas Diamonds
 competed at All-Levels last Friday night and  claimed the runner-up title. They looked  fantastic. All first, second and third place  teams will be showcased online at  all- levels.com on May 7th for everyone to  watch! All teams will be re-scored to  determine the grand champions across all
 of the five All-Levels events.

Platinum is very excited to be partnering with Great American Fundraising for the 2009-2010 Platinum season. Our GA representative will be organizing ALL of our fundraisers. We will have one fundraiser a month for each month of the new season, with the exception of August and April. That's 10 GREAT fundraisers! As always, every fundraiser is optional. We make them available to help offset the costs of all-star cheerleading. Here are some of the great fundraisers we have in store:
